Also, if you buy RAM clocked at different speeds, it will follow the lowest clocked RAM.

For example,
You have 8GB ram in a 2x4GB setup. One module is 1600Mhz and the other is 1333Mhz. All ram will be clocked at 1333Mhz even if your motherboard supports 1600Mhz.
