VPS 5 Cobalt Host Review
#1
CobaltHost VPS 5 Review!
Intro
Cobalt Host provides one of the best VPSs here, with the most disk space and RAM out of them all. The VPS is also KVM, which is great.

Specs
VPS 5 (10 in stock)
Disk Space: 50 GB
RAM: 2 GB RAM
IP Addresses: 1x IPv4
Virtualization: KVM
Control Panel: Custom Cobalt Panel
Monthly Traffic: unlimited
Location: Canada
Connection: 100 MBps

I like the fact that there's unlimited traffic, and 1 IPv4 per box you make. However the lack of IPv6 is disappointing as well as the 100MbpS connection speed which makes gameservers difficult.

More specs + Benchmarks
Results from hardinfo:
Processor               : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           L5520  @ 2.27GHz
Memory          : 1017MB (111MB used)
Operating System                : Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
User Name               : root (root)
Date/Time               : Sun 25 Oct 2015 09:42:06 AM EDT
-Display-
Resolution              : 0x0 pixels
OpenGL Renderer         : Unknown
X11 Vendor              : (null)
So we have a powerful 5th gen Intel Xeon CPU at 2.27GhZ. Not bad.
1GB of RAM (with a bit lost due to overhead), I created 2 instances with 1GB each, that's why its not 2GB.

I/O speed from DD:
250000+0 records in
250000+0 records out
2048000000 bytes (2.0 GB) copied, 18.8249 s, 109 MB/s
At 109MB/s, we can tell they're using SSD cache, you don't see regular hard drives going that fast.
Note: I can't get GeekBench to work so that won't be here. Sorry.

Download speed is horrible, but upload speed is great! However I don't notice any lag with the slow network speed.

Control Panel

Good interface, but not nearly enough detail (compare to SolusVM)
My Opinion
This is a great VPS with a lot of resources. However, the network speed could be improved on (to 1Gbps)
Review: 9/10

good Review,But you should add Speedtest.net results also, and some bit about control Panel (I see VPS 5's Control panel have changed alot).
and please hide IP of your VPS from Panel

Sorry, I just posted it to see what it looks like. All of that is up now.
#4
I don't understand what you mean when you say 'I created two instances'...
#5
The VPS is pooled resources, not just 1 pre-created VPS like with SolusVM.
#6
Thank you for the review. Yes we base our services off of pooled resources, this allows for clients to specify the server loadouts they want

I really like that you do that, just I think the price is high. You can get a VPS at CloudAtCost, KVM, 512MB RAM for $12/year. So..
#8
How much CPU cores available for the VPS?
Uptime was good?

Thank you  Sweet

#9
2 vCPU cores. That limits you to creating 2 VPSs, since you can't have a VPS without a CPU.

Thank you for the review. it's a good VPS . if you have others can you show me ?
