http://www.afraid.org has 1000s of domains available to use in dynamic or normal dns. Only 3rd level but with some very uncommon and hard to find extensions. So maybe its good if you need crazy reverse dns for irc or just want personal/dynamic dns instead of remember ip. The service is also very old and stable.

its freedns.afraid.org if i where but thats indeed a good dns service i have used it for a year now but the dns blocks the google index bot.

freedns.afraid.org is a good free service but not worth for you to make a blog/site with their domain , its very hard to get 1st page on google with their domains
