nc.me can work through github student pack espescially when you dont have edu domain but only student id card . but the problem is that even though its free for a year .me domain are quite expensove so you only get like 1 year out of it .for longer stay i reccomend namecheap $5 usd 5 year domain . Even though renewal is expensive atleast 5 is better than 1
