Reloading the OS is the only way to "reformat/reset" the VPS and if one is doing a special project (in my case any way), sometimes when I hit a snag the only way to get out of the snag is to hit the "reset" (reload the OS) button. And for that you need a panel so you can do it yourself. Otherwise you need to submit a support request to the Admin every time.
You still have a chance to edit your application. I'd go VPS 4 or VPS 5 or VPS 9. But add into your justification section you'll need an admin panel because of the project you're doing.
Thanks!
I'm learning a bunch already! I have gone ahead and edited my application to request a 4 or 5.
Because I'll probably be burning it down and rebuilding it fairly often, I'm going to want a control panel. When it said "ask" I read that to mean that I could just ask and they'd install one of the control panel options for me.
I'm so glad that was cleared up! Otherwise, I'd have ended up being pretty frustrated with myself.
This is awesome. I love learning new stuff. I've used a VPS before. In fact, I have a small one on SkySilk right now, but they use a custom control panel. I've even used AWS.
You're all very helpful, and I appreciate that. I love learning new stuff. That's actually my personal goal with my project.
