We ultimately cannot do anything to "completely" protect ourselves from being spied because even our own ISPs spies us. Even if we put the VPN, the traffic that is passed through our computer is logged into VPNs and we can't trust VPNs. Even VPNs who don't keep 'logs' cannot be trusted fully.
