Here they had high grade rolling barbed wire over 12 feet high concrete walls. That didn't stop thieves from entering the grounds of that housing complex and bargle some flats while the occupants were away.
I think, only some form of active security that engages after detection of heat signature and movement can keep such determined crooks at bay.
that is why i said good ir camera with motion sensing and alert messaging.
