My website SEO starts with submitting the URL to Google and Bing. I hope that is the basic thing you can do if you are trying to get noticed by search engines. With Windows 10 and EDGE browser, you should not be leaving Bing away. If I am right, Yahoo search is being powered by Bing for now.

Well I hardly get any traffic from Bing or Yahoo anymore. It's okey to set your site in Bing webmaster tools since it's an one time thing but nothing else you can do about it. It's pretty much about Google and social media traffic these days.

Social media reference has increased many fold these days. Just too many of them. Earlier we could simply use FB and Twitter. G+ also has good reference rate if you know how to handle it. But these days new comers like Instagram has also began bringing traffic to websites.
