I understand and totally agree with you. cPanel is being really greedy with their product, having already done a price increase twice till now. In fact the $100 was fine but now the extra $0.3 per account. Enough to throw small to medium scale companies out of business. I really hate this business model, simple "over-greed" in layman terms.
LNB being a free service, feasibility of providing cPanel is totally zero but to be honest DirectAdmin is fine for the service you are providing, especially with the development speeding up of late to compete against cPanel. I wish you best of luck with the comeback!
