BladeNode  Review 1: DirectAdmin File Manager and mySQL

Certbot might be worth a look. Certbot is a free open source CLI tool for getting SSL certificates from LetsEncrpyt. There is an active community to ask questions and trade ideas.

I found a few relevant links regarding certbot with DirectAdmin:

This one's a bit dated: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=648 (Feb '17)
More recent: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=629
It's listed here as a BETA feature: https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1828
