Truth (2015) Directed by James Vanderbilt and with actors I admire Cate Blanchett (in the lead), Robert Redford, Stacey Keach and Dennis Quaid. Great production, great action and interesting real life story about typical political manouvring of the media (60 minutes) in discrediting Bush by saying he received preferential treatment in the military. Mary Mapes (Cate Blanchett) was in the role of the producer of the show who thought she had above board documentary evidence which in the end was doubted, led to an internal investigation and alsoan investigation by the Media Board that completely discredited her, after which she was fired. Robert Redford was in the role of a news anchor at CBS News. He resigned his position after Mary Mapes was fired.
Impressive story almost (but not quite) along the lines of the classic President's Men (Robert Redford and Dustin Hofmann) about the Nixon tapes of the seventies. Score Truth 8/10.
