Thanks for sharing your experience about FreeVPS. I didn't know the nopoints tag was not working, though.

But here on Post4VPS, as far as I know, points are not counted for all texts inside quote tag.

So, we can simply add a rule requiring users to use quote tag for such error logs or similar.

This will avoid installation of the nopoints plugin which is broken.

Has anyone tried the OUGC Post Character Count Enhancement Plugin? It claims to strip HTML/MyCode/Quotes from being counted. It seems to be used with the NewPoints plugin. Think I'm going to try it out in my myBB test site:

I tested it and the Newpoints Plugin works perfect - really like it very much. Installation of the OUGC Character Count Enhancement Plugin was also perfect, but it isn't doing what it says it should be doing. When I checked the points after quoting something, they were increased. Could be I'm supposed to modify a setting in the Admin Panel that I haven't seen yet. I've made an inquiry at the myBB Community Site.
