its in the way that a car has gps. and cars getting inplemented wifi.
but in this case a driverless car is automaticly managed by a computer.
a virus will definantely installed that will take over the hole system.

That's a point. But as I said, there are proven ways in this world using which internet monetary transactions work safely. There even safer methods like PayPal. I am sure most of us might have used online payment. You just need to be smart and cautious. If you are, the same will work for automatic cars well. There is always risk, in everything.

Afraid of viruses for cars? What are whitehat hackers and security researchers are for then?

Of course they'll do everything to protect it from viruses. (I doubt they would even use a very vulnerable OS for their cars. (Linux anyone?))
