i opened this topic as a discussion about teh responsive frameworks that are currently in use ..

i myself use bootstrap whenever i need to do a design ..

before bootstrap i used a self made css style file ..

now i use bootstrap

i guess the question is .. have you used bootstrap ?
do you prefer it or prefer another framework

I mostly code in php. I'm not an artistic person so I kinda suck at web designing. (I'm a backend dev)

I'm trying to learn how to use lightweight frameworks like zepto and purecss though. I need to consider the fact that the internet in my country is slow as hell.

It's bloated. It's too big for slow internet connections.

I know boostrap has lot of offer than any other freamwork out there but it's bit too much for a simple project. These days there are lots of other far more simple solution, for example

These are lot more simple and easy to use in my experience. There is another grid system called keleton which works great too.

Bootstrap has a horrible interface, and yes, it takes years to load on 2/3G connections.

99lime's and Eiskis's are great, I might transform my website from BS to one of those.
My favorite CSS framework would be PureCSS, a framework developed by Yahoo, and used by Cobalt Host in their server panel.

Actually, mine is Bootstrap. I am not that creative person. Most of the time I build web applications, that's different from websites, btw. My applications don't need have some fancy look. Using Bootstrap I can provide a simple, easy, quite good-looking application.

Mine is Bootstrap too, but I might customise the apps/modify them to make some adjustments for my projects.

I am a Bootstrap pampered developer/designer. Bootstrap does almost everything I need. I have tried Zurb's foundation as well. But it is a bit less appealing than Bootstrap to me.
