Yes, you're ok with Windows, IF the provider allowed it. Nah mostly here (CMIIW), VPS provider only give you Linux option. As Dynamo answer in the shoutbox, there is only 2 option of Windows, VPS 8 (which is mine) and VPS 2 (CMIIW).
And you should also have Windows Server key, better not to play with KMSPico :p, because it's really have a high risk for P4V reputation (I guess).
Btw, from my side, as I've tested Windows Server, it's good while you need the GUI (btw, in Linux Server - specially Ubuntu, idk the other - we can install GUI too, which is GNOME here).
