List of Forums for which Post Credits and Points are disabled?
#1
I'm curious.  Is there some information at post4vps about the names of the Forums for which post credits have been disabled?  I.e. Forums that don't give you points or credits for posting? Which Forums are those?

AFAIK, all forums here give points.
But, for posts, Test/Junk and Introduction (under Offtopic) don't have posts counted. The others are counted to the point.

When I first came here that happen when I post and introduce myself at Introduction, I thought my post got deleted, but no, it's there. Just not counted as posts.

And also, for monthly posts, private VPS request and private VPS support doesn't counted in, and also with spam/test and introduction. You can find it here: https://post4vps.com/announcement-1.html
Thanks to Limitless Hosting and Post4VPS for providing me excellent VPS 13!

I was just wondering whether it may be an idea to add it to the information about the forum - if the forum has been disabled for points. I.e. in brackets (points have been disabled for this forum) so one knows.

@deanhills i don't think it good idea to add "(points have been disabled for this forum)" in any board/sub-forum's description when we already have mentioned all requirements in "VPS Plans" page as @tiwil said.

Private support forum
Private VPS Request forum
Spam/test forum
Introduction forum
Would not be counted towards your monthly post counts.

I would agree with @arsalahmed786 and @tiwil that the current arrangement should be good enough.

Not just because the information has already been available. Considering that the URL https://post4vps.com/announcement-1.html is the "must-read" page for every new VPS applicant, it should be the right place to put these information on.

@arsalahmed786 @tiwil @tryp4vps

Thank you for your feedback.

I was unaware (am sure I'm not the only member) that the disabled for points forums have been listed with the VPS Plans Announcement.  Like who would be looking for a list of the disabled for points forums in a VPS Plans Announcement?  Add to this the fact that the search tool of myBB Forums is not the greatest, only those who have been around for a very long time really know where the information is.  I had to create a thread to find out where it is.

Maybe there is a case to be made to in addition to having the info with the VPS Plans Announcement, to also have an Announcement that deals specifically with the post rules and points that can be earned.  Maybe under an Announcement heading like - How to post for a VPS or VPS Post FAQs.  It could be easy to just copy the post requirement info from the Packages announcement to a new Announcement, and maybe add a few points.

Just in case if you are not aware of, there is already a FAQ page available. The FAQ page is exactly under the Announcements subforum where you suggest to locate.

So, if you have any further suggestion about its content , you are encouraged to mention the OP @perryoo11 then he will know about it.

Great idea thanks @tryp4vps.  Hopefully the FAQs can then also be made more prominent by adding it to the links in the header area next to the VPS Plans. If one types FAQs in the search box it doesn't come up with anything.  I had to search for it. I'll make a more specific suggestion for that.

Maybe the staff can lock this thread now.  Many thanks.
