Nature vs Nurture
#11
I just noticed that the 'Nature vs Nurture' topic was posted in the 'Philosophy & Religion' forum ?!!.. Not sure how that can be in the XXI Century!.. I would have posted it in the 'Science' forum instead where I think it does belong.

Way back in the pre-modern Science era, Philosophy was king especially in what's was called 'Natural Philosophy'. With the rise of the Scientific methodology and modern Sciences that stand on it, much of 'Natural Philosophy' give way to the modern-day 'Natural Sciences'. Hence this post.

Anyway that's just a thought, have a good day all!

Hmmmm @fChk ..... apart from not having a Science Forum. Is this really a scientific discussion - maybe more of a philosophy of science discussion? I'd have thought we're philosophizing about a science topic, rather than looking at it from a scientific point of view?
Terminal
Thank you to Post4VPS and VirMach for my awesome VPS 9!

That goes to show how biased I am on everything Science-related !.. To my mind everything science-based has to have some groundings on facts... even when trying to philosophy about it.. otherwise, it's a waste of time..

The facts of this kind of 'Nature vs Nurture' in personality development are fairly well documented in the Scientific literature under the twin cases that happen to have been separated at an early age thus happened to be raised within families with different socio-economic backgrounds etc.. or even within different cultural backgrounds as in International child adoption cases etc....

This kind of accounts/facts should give more insight on the subject than anyone's subjective thought on the matter -regardless of how well knowledgeable he is on the matter.

Anyway, as I said in the previous post, that was just a thought that I had to post to register my opinion on this.
