I prefer HP, simply because I am using a HP laptop for more than 5 years and it is still working fine. Just the CPU fan is a bit noisy recently. But no complain so far.

You can use Dell as they offer some valuable computers and they offer very good support. I think their cheapest computer right now is at around 200$ if I am right.
