Yesterday evening I started watching The Irishman (
IMDb) and finished it today in the morning. It's 3 1/2 hours long. Holy moly! The movie is about Frank Sheeran who was a mobster and gun fire hire working for the Italian mafia in the United States (La Cosa Nostra). It basically tells his story and his involvement into the killing of James R. Hoffa (Jimmy Hoffa). Some big guys are playing in it including Robert De Niro (Frank Sheera) and Al Pacino (Jimmy Hoffa). You can read more about Frank Sheeran
here.
Today I have also watched The Professor and the Madman (
IMDb). It's a drama with Sean Pen and Mel Gibson about how the first version of the Oxford English Dictionary was created. A story of a professor and a mad man creating of what today is known as one of the biggest and best English dictionaries.
In the evening I watched King of New York (
IMDb). Refreshing to see a movie with young versions of Wesley Snipes, Christopher Walken and Laurence Fishburne in their early movies. Additionally I have also watched John Q (
IMDb) with Denzel Washington.
