And for me, it should be the objective of every forum. Happy community will attract more new members and have positive aura. And new member will enjoy the community.
I want to tag admin, so they can know what member want to XD.

Thanks to Limitless Hosting and Post4VPS for providing me excellent VPS 13!
For me the Admin and staff here are already doing a fantastic job @tiwil. We have an owner, energetic and hands-on Giveaway Manager and staff who are fully present. The atmosphere is nice and makes one want to come back and post all of the time without even thinking about it. I'm happy to be here.

Thank you to Post4VPS and VirMach for my awesome VPS 9!
Post4VPS is not just a forum website, but instead this community is a FAMILY where you could find, get, and learned ideas your looking for.

That's it true. I really love being here. Admins are kind and helpful. We can count on them for our forum future.

As I said before, the decline in activity started before we lost sponsors. A lot of users left even before Zxplay stopped sponsoring fvps.
As for posts, fvps prides itself with a high standard in quality of posts. It is both better for SEO and better chance of maintaining sponsors.
They also have a requirement for sponsors to be able to sponsor fvps. This keeps everything high quality.

As for a team of finding sponsors, it is hard to organize a proper one. They would be considered staff. And they do have a hogh standard for a user to become a staff.

Anyways, the decline of freevps has shown since around 2016 tbh. Not really the fault of sponsors leaving starting 2017.

@deanhills
the reason for staff not posting “quality” posts is that they’re also busy in life. I agree that Ignis shouldn’t have taken the role of he didn’t have time though.
As for quality, they could have relaxed it yes. But there are also a lot of posts that are really low quality even from members who have been there for a long time. (Hell, including me)

The staff of FVPS are great. They really just didnt have time.

@Conan

This is something we are not going to agree ever on. Zxplay is not the first sponsor they had lost. This had started happening in 2016 and they lost several sponsored before Zxplay. But it was after this sponsor when real panic happened because before, it's just one or two small vps they lost each time. Like i said it was not something easy but it was not impossible either. They should have implemented that rather than brushing off saying nah we ll take care of it. Both these things started happen same time. There were less and less to choose from and support was also getting less and people were less and less interested to be active there. Even today If they start getting more servers and sponsors then soon there will be more activity.

This didn't happen because of quality of posts or lack of posters. Freevps.us is not the only provider ever had a bad time. Even here there were times very little activity happened maybe less than 10 members posting. But the forum have kept going and that's why now it's even in better position than freevps.us. Lets say someone offer like 20 high end servers to freevps.us then you will find the place will be again active like a bee hive by end of the month. If they had told They don't have time to run the forum well now that's an acceptable excuse. but blaming on post quality and posters is quite lame. We, all of us as done our share of low quality or crappy posts. It can happen time to time. But mods should know which to remove and which to keep. You don't delete all posts just because you see one crappy post.

Full respect for those old Admins and mods who did an amazing job on managing that forum. Even I asked admins of several forums to take a look at freevps.us to get an idea how to manage a forum as well as for running post to host forums. I can't say same about the new lot. Only one who seems to have any technically skills is SLC who should had been the give away manager. Rest were either incompetent or arrogant. Without HR and Optimus helping them I don't think forum would had last even this long.

There are a lot of expectations this type of community has and they are severely out of the norm. I see a lot of you hopping around to different communities and posting the bare minimum for your containers. This is to be expected, but its a little worse with this crowd. When a community loses any type of sponsorship, or a big poster like Ignis stops posting, members lose their mind and go flock somewhere else. Lots of this community is usually all on board when the forum maintainers ask members to step up and help, also known as "becoming staff", until there is actual work to be done with the community and then it's like crickets. You all like to blame someone else for your communities problems but the problem lies with the members. You shouldn't have to see regular staff postings in the forums to be interested or to help your community, that's not how these online communities have ever worked since the beginning of the internet. You all want your staff title and containers with no effort on your end, and that is why these niche communities will eventually die. /peace

The higher standard in quality, the higher maintenance cost.

Their admins took too much focus fighting against what they considered 'lower quality' posts. This was very costly. Now they know it is difficult to maintain such a high quality standard and simply give up.

But they really just didn't have time? Funny thing is when I join their discord, I see the admins actively posting there everyday. It does look like they do have time posting in a more relaxed environment.

Anyway, the FVPS staff are nice. No doubt about that. It is just sad to see their forum closing this way.

@xdude
First of all, zxplay was imho the most significant lost sponsorship.

Also, I’m not saying that the entire reason is the lack of posters. There are several reasons as to why fvps shut down. As for post quality, it has gone down a lot. Why? The users are just forced to finish the req to keep the VPSs. Almost every post just seems to be just for completing the req. Hell, include my posts there. Also, when did they delete all of the posts of a person because of one crappy post? There’s no doubt that if it gets deleted, it’s pretty sure that those posts are low quality.

So you’re saying Ignis is incompetent? Be reminded that they’re doing this for free. He’s also busy like the other staff. The staff also has a life. I don’t see how the other staff are arrogant. In my interactions with them, they answer users properly. I don’t see any arrogance there.
You don’t need a lot of technical skills to be a giveaway manager tbh. You need time. And almost every staff member doesnt have a lot of it. Most of them are either students or have jobs.

@coreyman
You got it absolutely right. It’s a process anyways. Users will eventually go. Everyone moves on in their life.

@tryp4vps
Having a higher standard is better as it helps the content to be of high quality. If you want an example of a p2h with a lower quality standard, look at the defunct swn. It’s a mess.

As for the discorx, you do know that it’s easier to be on a chat server than in a forum right? Discord has an app on phones. Moderating a forum on a phone is hard.
