i think post4vps not coming on the first page of google search with "free vps" should be our biggest concern than this. affiliates and fools will do what they usually do.

freevps.us is still high up there. awesome .. but post4vps.com could use a bit higher rank..

I think you didn't get what I meant. That is NOT a " Review " but an " Affiliate Post ". And it's not an review site at all. Those are all affiliate post written targeting Review keyword. So basically he is not review post4vps. The whole site is just targeting newbies so they can earn commissions. I check their posts are I couldn't find a single real review of any provider or anything.

That's because post4vps is not optimized for search engines. For example it doesn't have the keyword " Free VPS " any other important terms in it's Title tag. It only says Post4VPS Forum for which it rank #1.

Their "review" is totally meaningless, because they have never tried our service. Just like if you never try a VPS on your own, how can you write a meaningful VPS review for it.

So, I suggest everyone please do not visit his website to check his posts anymore.

Otherwise it will just help the site owner earning more from his ads, and also encourage him to write more nonsense contents later.

Doesn't matter what it is - it's intended to create the impression that the person knows what he is talking about and in the process he gave post4vps a bad write up.  It's worse actually if it is an affiliate post as he's not unbiased - I didn't know it was an affiliate post and many others in his target zone don't know either.  So that makes it worse for me.

We know he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about when it gets to Giveaways. So I'm totally with @tryp4vps to stay away from that site.

Actually it does matter. This shows certain problems and need see how to address these issues. Sites like these targeting newbies who has no clue about free server market. Since they have no idea about the market they tend of believe a post like that which was written in a very convincing way to a newbie. Next problem is sites like these rank quite well for relates keyword phrases in Google unlike legit sites like post4vps.com. These newbies should have shown there are legit free vps providers out there.

Visiting or avoiding the site won't make any different at all. Those who know the truth won't fall for it even we visit and read the post. And newbies would fall for it even if we don't visit the site since it's ranking well in search engines. Visits doesn't help SE Ranking either. if that the case then its something very easy to exploit.

OK, good point.  So how do you suggest one deals with this?  Is there a type of Ombudsman for this kind of posting one can submit a complaint to?  If there is maybe all of us can put complaints in?

Well nothing really can be done by that site. Anyone can do something like that. I'm sure there worse posts than about post4vps outhere which either haven't ranked or haven't seen by us. This is why I didn't like to start board dedicated to user posts about scams. Anyone can do this. We could have done something if it was posted in somewhere like Facebook or other social site. very little chance though.

But what we can do is optimize the forum for popular free vps related keywords. It's something Admins need to do since we can't. Maybe Add a content rich page explaining the process here and pointing out benefits. Try to rank High for popular keywords. Also getting more social media presence for the site. Things like Google reviews, Facebook page reviews etc.
