I do really like the Square theme, the same theme as used on this forum. I also really like the themes by Audentio (https://www.audentio.com/). My favorite of the themes by Audentio is a theme called Citrus. (https://www.audentio.com/shop/view/MyBB/citrus-14)

If I have some spare money around, I really consider purchasing it

I just got the Square theme! I  really think that theme compares with this website, which is true. It has a sense of ''Professionalism'', which is exactly what bring more attention, it is great that more people caught an eye to this!

Are there any themes that exist which aren't blue and work with 1.8.6 and are free?
I haven't found many in the MyBB community section.
Only wish I knew how to code my own themes but my designs look like they are from 2002.

So far it is Flow theme for me. It is a WIP, still looks awesome. There are a couple of themes like in MyBB theme base. Not sure of their names though. To be frank, nothing really mind blowing except Evolution Gaming.

I do not like Majestic mybb theme. Its is paid Theme but not 100% Responsive Theme.
I like Focus Flat MyBB Theme.

I use Focus Flat MyBB Theme for one of my small forums. It's a really a great theme. Only downside is lack of responsiveness. It's really hard to find free mobile friendly myBB themes.
