Disable windows 10 updates

Hello folks, I am very irritated of windows 10 updates.Windows 10 software updates install on your device automatically whether you like it or not,I saw most of the people searching for stop windows 10 update.So after trying different methods i found a number of methods to disable windows 10 automatic updates.Microsoft windows is very fast as compared to other versions of windows.But most of the windows users hate windows 10 because of the automatic updates.It starts downloading our data and slow down the internet.So today i am going to share some methods to disable windows 10 updates.If you are using windows 10 pro its easy to overtake on automatic updates.
Lets start it step by step.

1st: Open start and type run into the search bar or simply press windows key + R.It will open run command.
2nd:Type in bar " gpedit.msc " and Click Ok.It will open the local group policy editor.
3rd: Browse the folder " Computer Configuration "
4th: Under computer configuration " [font=monospace, monospace]Administrative Templates "[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]5th: Under Administrative Templates " Windows Component "[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]6th: Than open browser " Windows Update "[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]Here is full path[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update
[/font]

[font=monospace, monospace]7th: On the right side, double-click the " Configure Automatic Updates "[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]8th: It will opne the Configure Automatic Updates. On the left side click the Enable option to enable the policy.[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]9th: Under Options, you'll find a number of ways to configure automatic updates[/font]
[font=monospace, monospace]2 - "Notify for download and notify for install."
[/font]

3 - "Auto download and notify for install."

4 - "Auto download and schedule the install."
[font=monospace, monospace]5 - "Allow local admin to choose setting."[/font]
You should select the update option which you want to configure.If we select the option 4 we can specify exactly when to install windows updates.
10th: Click The Apply Button.
11th: Click Ok to complete the task.


Disable The Windows 10 Update Via Registry

Note: It will be very risky.it can damage to windows or your hard drive.

1st: Open start and type run into the search bar or simply press windows key + R.It will open run command.

2nd:Type in bar " regedit " and Click Ok.It will open the registry editor.

3rd: Browser the path.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  ->  SOFTWARE -> Policies -> Microsoft -> Windows

4th: Right Click on the windows folder and click new and than chose Key.
5th: Rename the NewKey with "WindowsUpdate"
6th: Right Click on the WindowsUpdate ( newly created key ) and click new and chose Key.
7th: Name the new key as " AU " 
8th: Right click the key " AU " and new and chose " DWORD ( 32BIT ) Value..
9th: Name the new key "AUOption"
10th: Double click the key and change its value using one of the option.
2 - "Notify for download and notify for install."
3 - "Auto download and notify for install."
4 - "Auto download and schedule the install."
5 - "Allow local admin to choose settings." 
Complete the task by clicking the Ok button and close the Registry Editor.
The best choice is option 2.If you change the value to 2 windows will notify you to download the updates.If you want to download the windows update you can download it using your pc settings in Update and Security section.

Another way


Open Start.
Search for gpedit.msc and select the top result to launch the experience.
Navigate to the following path:

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update

Double-click the Configure Automatic Updates policy on the right side.
Check the Disabled option to turn off the policy.
Click the Apply button.
Click the OK button.
Once you complete the steps, Windows 10 will stop downloading updates automatically.

While automatic updates remains disabled, you can still download and install patches manually from Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and clicking the Check for updates button.

If you change your mind, you can always revert the changes using the same instructions, but on step No. 5, make sure to select the Not Configured option.
