Agreed. And for those still with the old Windows 7, one can download Microsoft Security Essentials for free (Windows 7 doesn't come with Defender). Microsoft has a very good database with virus and spyware definitions - I remember a year or 2 ago when I read a review Microsoft Defender and Essentials were listed near the top with Kaspersky and the other big anti-virus names. But yes, I guess common sense is probably even more important and to always resist clicking on a link that doesn't make a 100% sense. I find that when I'm doing research, when it gets to the second page of links, one has to be doubly careful where one clicks. Facebook can also contain traps in links.
