i think they will make tunnels deep under Martian surface and make that habitable. That might be the best way initially. pressure and gravity is ok. so they will need food and sufficient energy. I guess fusion will be the source of energy and food is not a problem anymore even if you need to cultivate underground in big chambers with artificial light. that is already being done.
