Discord is pretty safe enough to keep some of your files, But still Discord is meant to be used as a Voice Server which is a the main purpose. If you create a private server and adjust all the channels and role permission to your file i can say you will be safe for a long time and won't be a problem much for you at all, I had some saved data in my Team Room it is still a risk but still you can use it!
