When i checked months back USA was still on top and india was below pakistan, Literally now india has reached 4.8 million which is really hard to believe what would be the situation there even and almost 1 million cases active, Cases in Pakistan has seem to slower down but i also don't believe it no one is wearing masks literally no one, I believe Pakistan is already in second wave. The numbers are just increasing literally minutes by minutes and it is really worse now.

@deanhills, What do you say when this pandemic will end like in how many months?

Colleges have been opened by 15 Sept, I'm actually scared to go.

@sAmI  I don't think the virus is going to end.  It's only going to get less.  But in some places where they haven't learned lessons, it seems to be spiking again. Looks like regionally the cases are significantly different.

For example, I'm wondering what your view is on how Pakistan cases have reduced so much in comparison with India?  Is it in the counting?  Or is it for real.  Like check the active cases and Pakistan is Number 59 only in the world with 5673 Active Cases.  Vs India with 977,802 Active Cases and #2 in the world.  How is that possible?

For total cases India has 4,764,786 cases - #2 in the world.  And Pakistan has 301,481 total cases - #17 in the world.

For total # of deaths.  India is #3 with 78,727 deaths.  And Pakistan 6,379 deaths at #24 in the world.

Total Population:  India = 1300 million  Pakistan = 212.2 million  OK if one divides 212.2 million into 1.3 billion it is approx 6.  So if one multiplies Pakistan stats total active cases are approx 34,000 (that's still a huge difference with India 977,802 Active cases).  Also if one multiplies total number of cases in Pakistan it comes to 1.8 million.  Vs 4.7 million in India.  For deaths if one multiplies Pakistan deaths by 6 it gets to 38247 vs 78,727.

I also see a comparison anomaly in difference between Canada and the United States - 2 countries who are neighbours - when I calculate the difference between the 2.  There is something in Canada or what Canada does that is HUGELY different - like Canada cases are much MUCH lower.  In exact correspondence with Pakistan vs India.  Could it be the status of Public Health and system for care is much higher in Canada than in the United States.  And the same scenario in Pakistan, as I am aware that Public Health has a high status in Pakistan.  It's almost spontaneously applied every where according to the community's abilities.  The level of care is very high.

Note:  I hope this discussion will be a rational discussion as I don't want this to get political.  I'm just wondering about the number of cases and why two countries that are neighbours have such huge differences in Corona Virus cases.  For example, when I click through all of the news channels I get plenty of US reports and US noise and scary stories about cases in the US, and ditto India, but I rarely hear about Canada or Pakistan reports in the channels.
