I've been following news on the negative side, like at Heathrow Airport they've had real issues with drone amateurs who could not properly control their drones and created safety concern for air space of planes.  Last I read something about it, which was a few months ago, they were going to make it mandatory for people to do basic training first before they are allowed to operate a drone.  So possibly one would have to get a license or something.  Another place where it was a problem is in prisons, where they used it as a form of courier.  I find all of it very interesting though - all of the James Bond 007 K tools becoming real.  I hope you'll be able to get a really good drone.  I'm almost certain if one starts to join interest groups that there must be hobby owners who have worked out ways to get round the customs problems.

This is why cheap drones are made because they give you lot of experience and even if they crash they won't create any trouble. One must go for cheap drone if they want to go for expensive drone since it can be dangerous if it crashes. Drone is not that hard to fly, problem is anything can happen if it loses connection or something. Though flying drone near airports are strictly not allowed and there are laws for it. In some countries license is required for drone, however in my country no license is required just few rules have to be followed. By the way, it is possible to buy drones locally here, but expensive one and for that you don't have to do anything, just go to shop and buy directly. Only custom is the problem. There are even cheap drones imported to country and sellers sell them for 3x more price.
