Top Reputed Members
#8
@Manal. We already have the reputation tool - and I use it often, like obviously the members with the higher credit points in reputation must be more reputable. So are those with names in orange, green, deep blue or brown. And we have quality credits that are a direct reflection of the quality contribution of the member.

I'm not much in favour of making a list of a group of "reputable" members and publish them separately somewhere.  I don't like there to be too much fuss about some members over others, more than what we have through our current group system.  Obviously the sponsors are our VIPs and are treated as VIPs.  And you can't miss the sponsors - they stand right out.  Then there are our VPS holders, and we can't miss them either - there is a list of VPS holders as well.  For me they are very reputable.  They worked hard to make the posts so they could compete for a VPS.  And they then won a VPS and may participate in the next Giveaway again to keep the process energetic and on the go.  For me they are the life blood of post4vps as they have to make 20 posts every month to keep the Forum active. Then we also have our technical specialists, and they stand out in their great works and super quality responses.

Furthermore, I can't see how a list of "more equal" members would motivate the "less equal" members to make more quality posts.  Like if they are excluded from any group, then maybe when they are excluded they won't feel a sense of loyalty and community and may only want to post for the VPS and get it over with.  However, if they were treated as one with the community regardless of being a sponsor, vps holder, owner or staff, or elite member, then maybe they will be more motivated to post for post4vps.  They will feel a pride and loyalty to post4vps.

What we should do actually is promote the rep point system and explain the use of number of posts and quality credits during the Giveaway more regularly.  For example I discovered with the last Giveaway that not all members know that the competition looks at the number of posts and quality credits when the VPSs are allocated - those with the highest quality credits win the better VPSs.   For me that in its own right should be a major incentive for a post4vps member to want to make quality posts.

Thank you to Post4VPS and VirMach for my awesome VPS 9!
