Since my last post in this thread, the '2019-nCoV' has been named 'SARS-CoV-2' and the severe pneumonia outbreak -named 'COVID-19'- turned, unfortunately, into a global pandemic with an ever increasing number of fatalities.
The best one can do in this situation is to know what he is up against and what he should and should not do. The best source of up-to-date information one can get is located on this page of the WHO: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.
Please take a look at it.... and stay safe!

I also wanted to comment on this research (mentioned in the posts above); ie Relationship between the ABO Blood Group and the COVID-19 Susceptibility whose conclusion is:
That statistical/epidemiological conclusion is interesting but needs a lot of follow up investigations, both clinically and biologically for it to have the practical impact the World is expecting. And by this I mean the Whys and the Hows kind of answers, ie the immunological mechanisms involved that supposedly put people with blood group O in an advantage compared with the others (A, B and AB,) but especially the A -as the research suggests.

Quote:People with blood group A have a significantly higher risk for acquiring COVID-19 compared with non-A blood groups, whereas blood group O has a significantly lower risk for the infection compared with non-O blood groups.
