Well that's long time ago. Maybe these days they receive too many submission than they could manage. Anyway maybe they should at least semi automated the system so people would get sub domains faster.

if you want to use domain for the vps . add a A record in freenom dns and type your vps ip

dot.tk is not only domain that freenom provided . they provide other domain too like .ml .ga .cf .gq

I received two eu.org domains I had requested. It took more than a month for them to approve but I think these sub domains are safer to work with than Freenom domain names. I do have 2 Freenom names for about 2 months and haven't encountered any problems yet either.

I used and still use Freedom Domains (Dot.TK before),
Yes they do offer great domain names for up to 12 months for free and free renewal but the problem is
That they delete your domain if you're getting a good amount of views monthly
And they say that you were using spam or you're using your domain for illegal stuff
But it's just that they can't handle a lot of traffic, so if you know that you're Freenom URL
is going to get a big amount of traffic i don't recommend using it.

not only that but freenom also delete inactive domain . i lost few of my domain because im busy and i forget to set the nameserver and then my domain ended up deleted

i never ecounter the lot of traffic but i really dont know why deleting site that have many view

and my reccomendation for domain is just buy a cheap domain or get a quality free domain like eu.org but the problem is that it need manual review but that is better than get your domain deleted

eu.org provides you sub domains, not top level domain names. Also these can take a month or 2 to get your request approved. Still those are much safer than Freenom domains.
