Actually it depend on the user it self, but i agree for now smart watch are just fancy stuff. Personally i just bought smart band rather than smart watch cause the short of battery life, in my opinion wearable device should be able to life longer than a smartphone.

Maybe there will be a time when smartwatch become the trend. Desktops > Laptops > Smartphones , 20 years ago there were only few camera phones.

In my opinion, the smart watch is brilliant for women. They keep their phone in their handbag and it saves them looking for it. Also, another great point (which I use mine for) is for business. If I'm with a client or in a meeting it allows me to check what notifications I'm getting and I can use it to have a look at my schedule and I don't look as rude and looking at my phone every 5 mins. A lot of clients just think I'm checking the time to make sure I'm on track for the next client I have to see.

They can be very useful and I think a lot of basic things we use everyday seemed useless to our grandparents in their time.

One major reason why schools do not allow smartphones is that children / students can easily communicate with terrorists for example, another reason is because they may secretly capture pics of their teachers without her permission, smartwatches will allow students to do both of these defeating the purpose of blocking smartphones

Ok let me tell you all about smartwatch and related to phone. Smartwatch is actually in my opinion, it is your optional device than your phone depends about how do you use it and your activity

With my definition. Smartwatch is wearable computing device worn on a user's wrist that offers functionality and capabilities similar to those of a smartphone and designed to, either on their own or when paired with a smartphone, provide features like what phone used to be such as calling, messaging, gps, etc.. and even it much more easy and efficient when you are wearing it like if you got some notification, you don't need to picking up your phone, you just look at your smartwatch and tap it.

So smartwatch in my opinion is useful, when you are walking around or have a sport training ("Sport watch") like running, stopwatch and other things. having smartwatch always make your day easy and efficent by just looking and touch and changing something like changing music and playing music with your earphone bluetooth in just a sec.

how about smartphone ? is that not useful ? not exactly, actually, the newest smartwatch with operating system, actually come from smartphone where designed to make more easy when you have fast important issue or simple fast time. but for user who are using smartphones to lower middle class and entered the ranks of users in general, actually functions available on a smartwatch is still not fully you need.
