I'm not really into first person shooters or extremely fast paced games with an emphasis on graphics and sound.

To me the best multiplayer games are those that encourage interaction with as wide an audience as possible. There are several open source MMORPGs that are getting better all the time. Also becoming more popular are the reverse engineered game engines such as those available for the elder scrolls games.

Could I suggest a poll for this topic?

My favourite multiplayer games are San Andreas Multiplayer and Minecraft. Many people play Minecraft still and there are a lot of servers are out there. I also recommend Terraria which is a copy-cat of Minecraft with a lot of items.

Yeah it is very popular and also one of the best multiplayer game. But unfortunately I Can't play it any longer
