I tried Opera but didn't like it.  What I disliked the most is that it doesn't give you a choice in making Opera the primary browser.  That didn't work for me when I only wanted to try it out.  Not so keen on the red O's all over my desktop.  It's huge too.  Much prefer my Firefox with Google Chrome so far.  However always open to try out brand new browsers too.  I'm always hopeful of developers who have gone the extra mile to compete with the current main browsers.

Perhaps it changed from the time I tried it out, which are a few years back now.  And yes, I've heard very good reports about Opera as well.  Probably justifies trying it out again one of these days.  Thanks for mentioning about the setting about asking every time the browser is launched.

I recently tried a Maxthon Browser. It is a good browser. I like its all features
Internet Download Manager works very well. Aometime IDM in Safari and Mozila Firefox does not works well.
But i am not sure about its privacy.

In the past I used it. It's based on the Chrome (Chromium). But they do not upgrade it frequently.
Last year there was a security issue, but I can't remember exactly what.

I tried Maxthon too.  It used to be my No. 2 browser after FireFox for a while.  And you're right it does work well.  I like FireFox because of the free YouTube Downloader.  Also after its last major makeover FireFox is almost back to where it was with me when it used to be so very good.  Chrome is still the best for me and is currently my No. 2 browser - I use it hand in hand with FireFox but for general searches only.  It's much easier for me to control the content and privacy settings of FireFox.  With Chrome I have to go into the Advanced Settings manually every browsing time to delete the cookies and content.  With FireFox one can set it up automatically so it deletes everything when one logs out of it.  I realize FireFox is not a perfect browser, but for the things that are important to me, and the trust factor in a browser who isn't motivated by greed and how it performs on the stock market, FireFox is my main browser of choice.  I like it that it is open source as well, and maybe in a very small way I'm supporting open source development.  Instead of being a victim of Google who obviously is in it for the money and covering up what privacy really means to it.

Ah Thanks for the information about their security issue.I mostly use online portal for banking.I prefer Google chrome for these type of work but sometime google chrome does not work correctly during input of data.I don't understand why most of the Official Websites use Mozilla Firefox.

If you would like to try a browser that is take your privacy seriously then go for the Vivaldi browser.
Opera isn't the same as before since a few years ago they sold it to the Chinese.

But the original Dutch developers left Opera and made the Vivaldi browser.

Thanks for the suggestion @Dudi.  At least it's not all in red, and it does look very professional.  Seems to have interesting features too like writing notes, choosing a style and using commands.  Will definitely try it out.

You can set Edge as primary browser after installing opera or any new browser, it won't ovveride settings.
Currently satisfied with Firefox.

Hmm, as everyone saying here I think I trust Firefox the most and it's not a bad browser by any means. I don't trust anything that is Google, and since Mozilla is a non profit open source software than chrome which is closed source I would rather go with Firefox than chrome
