Dual Camera phones
#21
Dual camera one a single phone? Why not go for DSLR? It may look fascinating on a phone with dual camera but as Golden said, it would drain a lot of battery power.

My father have Xiaomi Mi A1, it has dual camera too. Basic one and tele one. It's incredibly good for me.

And ya. I think dual camera is good for me.

It might take 120° photo but you can also use the Panorama function in the camera. Some phones have low quality camera and it doesn't matter if they have dual cameras or not.

I also like DSLR but, nowadays almost everyone use smart phone to take photos. Even for my best friend who enjoyed taking photos with his classic Nikon DSLR camera, he also changed to use smart phone some years ago.

No wonder, just because smart phone is too convenient. Smile

Dual camera phones are for:
-blokeh effect (it's perfect for taking pictures of people and it blurs the background)
-it can work as an "optical zoom too". Some Huawei models have this, but I don't know exactly how they achieve this.

I haven't tried the blokeh effect before but I bet it is good. Do you know any models who have this effect? I might buy one. Thanks!

Dual camera phone yes, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the best choice. The features it has, and the AI that it is using for capturing images is something very good in a mid-ranged phone.

I tried it on a Xiaomi Mi 5x phone, but I think all newer mid-range Xiaomi phones can do this.

That is nice that some of the newer Xiaomi phones can do this. Do you know any other newer models who have this feature? I might check them out. Thank you!

I'm planning to get a new Smartphone during the next few months, and am happy about this thread as I'll definitely want to have a dual camera if it is going to take better people pics and has optical zoom, although don't most smart phones with bigger specs have optical zoom anyway?
