I still own a feature phone. I still take it with me when I am going for a really long travels. It is my best friend because the battery does not die fast as a smartphone.

well the use for feature phone is only for text messaging and calling and that even already replaced by Voip and instant messaging . and also 2G network is already starting to be gone . for example AT&t recently shut down their 2G network so a lot of 2G phone including the first iphone wouldnt work anymore on their carrier

Companies are forcing people to upgrade, and it is pretty much understandable. I think people should have a choice on whether to upgrade or not, majority of the population still lives below 1.25$ USD per day and they can't even afford the new phones.

Apple recently started to remove many features and it is quite sad to see that happening. I think Apple is aiming to provide modern computing for the end-users but at the same time they are removing important features like USB-ports, that is why I am still owning a 2015 model.

well there are 2 reason why carrier really like new technology like 4G for example

1.4G provide higher bandwidth = much cheaper to give a data
2.encourage people to upgrade their phone to 4G phone

well the reason no.2 is sort of anti consumer . the problem is not all people want to upgrade and not all people are have the money to upgrade their phone but the carrier sort of forcing them by giving more 4G data or even worse 4G only data

Its not true, many people are still using feature phones because of battery life, security. Mane of old people dont even think about buying smartphones because feature phones are "easier" for them.
