Google will punish sites that use annoying pop-up ads
#1
Information
Google has decided to punish mobile sites that use intrusive pop-up ads by ranking them low and not figuring them prominently on search results. The move is an attempt to make search easier for users. However, it is likely to affect business like news websites and e-commerce ventures that heavily depend on such pop-up ads.

Hmm. If this thing is going to be true then many companies and websites are going to face a heavy loss.

I wonder if ouo.io also gets punished. Since If I'm not wrong you can't just "Skip ad". It opens around 2-4 Popup ads.

Probably, its only for mobile users not for desktop. But it will not affect the site ranking not site itself.

Google should do it with every site. Popups are the most annoying ads, especially when you click on random place and popup opens.

It's like this, lets say your Wordpress blog is perfect in Desktop but design mess up when it viewed by a mobile. Specially when it comes to those banners, your site would get a rank decrease in Google mobile search. This will not effect your General Google SERP, only mobile search.

This change is not only for pop up advertisements but also effects if you have a popup for subscribing to your blog or site and it covers the whole mobile screen and hard for user to by pass it. So if your site has one of those fancy email forms then better check how it look from a phone or tab. There's plenty of time to change since the change come to effect only from January 2017.
