The games I've found myself enjoying more are games that allow modifications or sandbox experience. I usually stay away from shooter games like Call of Duty and Battlefield.
My list:
- Minecraft
- Skyrim
- EU4 (Europa Universalis 4)
With Minecraft you can make tons of redstone projects that are fun to mess with or even help you in your survival experience. When I explored RPG games I got into Skyrim and occasionally come back with mods. It was fun but with things are now with Bethesda I might not ever touch any of their games post Skyrim. Europa Universalis 4 was a fun grand strategy game for me. You pick a country and make your own goals for what you want to do in that play-through, like gain territory and form huge nations or be very passive and economic. It's fun to see what other nations turn out to be like. But the DLC all add up to be very expensive.
