Many users from Windows 7 has moved to Windows 10, for me the performance has even became better than Windows 7.

Although I like Debian 8, I have to force myself to use windows 10 since I game all the time and most of my work app is on there
No one knows what the future holds, that's why its potential is infinite

I currently use Windows 10 as of today. I upgraded to Windows in December in 2017 when purchasing my new Windows computer. I have tried it before but I could not use it because my old computer could not support the high amount of specifications required by Windows 10 so I sticked with Windows 7.

So far, I really like it the only thing I do not like is the automatic Windows Update. When you try to disable Windows Updates through Services, you will not be able to access Microsoft Store etc. and it is very frustrating. You will also not be able to get security updates so it is very sad and I wish they brought back the old system where you could choose which updates you wanted etc.

I remember selecting only security updates in the patch. Now when you get a release, they change almost everything and your computer can freeze at sometimes. This is very sad.
Thank you VPSlices and Post4VPS for your beautiful VPS!

Approximately two to three years ago I absolutely hated Windows 10 for the reason that Microsoft was trying to force me to upgrade from my Windows 7 to Windows 10 and did it sneakily through my automatic upgrades.  I had to change my upgrades in Windows 10 from automatic to "let me choose" and then had to study all of the Windows 10 KBs where it tried to force one to change to Windows 7.  Microsoft kept trying going from one KB to another.  Took me a long time to get to the point of no trust to little trust.  With my last reformat of my desktop hard disk and reinstalling my Windows 7, I found Microsoft updates much better streamlined by Microsoft, that impressed me.  I also have a laptop with Windows 8.1 and I have no problems with Windows 8.1.  It obviously is a step up from Windows 7, but not really that much better that one needs to upgrade, except maybe if one works in a touch screen environment.  For which 8.1 I think was aimed at.  Windows 10 I've been using on computers that are not my own.  It's obviously designed for upgraded technology, and I think works great when one installs it from scratch, rather than upgrading from previous versions.  Only thing I don't like is one can't choose the upgrades, and there are lots of add ons like Edge, Defender and more that one may prefer not to have, however Microsoft doesn't give one a choice but to install.  I'd much prefer having the equivalent of Windows 7 Professional; a bare bones Windows 10 where when one does the set up, one is allowed to choose the functions one wants on Windows 10.  Hopefully by the time I'm ready to upgrade my Windows 7 when I get new hardware, there will be a more flexible Windows available from Microsoft for those users who want to be in more control of their OS.

Depens on the use case and on what kind of HW. For my personal Desktop I like using macOS, its simple and does not get in the way. For Servers I like FreeBSD and, depending on the use case, Debian.

For other people's workplaces it's mostly Windows 10 because of Office and the familiarity of most people with it.

Currently use Windows 10 on my gaming rig because of its speed and compatibility. Personally I like Linux especially Debian 8 because of its flexibility

I'm using both Windows 7 and Ubuntu OS. But I prefer Windows 7 more than Ubuntu, because the interface of Windows 7 is user-friendly, easier to use
