If it's like 1000$ / 20 posts then the whole system would be impractical. I have been here since the start and looks like one with most number of posts except for 2 staff members. Still I have only around 1000 credits. So I don't think anyone would have enough points to do it. It's lot easier for members to ask Dynamo to let them to post 40 post next month.

If points really get some kind of buy / sell value then people will keep posting so they could collect points and trade. In old days there were so many forums with forum currency which had certain real money value. But it's really hard to maintain a system like that and very complicated.

There are still forums which have credits and they allow users to sell them for irl money, however those forums do not sell the credits directly, instead other forum members exchange them directly with each other with no interaction of the original forums.

As for the 1000$, I was just providing an example to Dynamo, never recommended it, and credits are based on post quality, Doesn't matter how many posts you do, If your posts have more content, the more credits you get, this will also force people to write quality content, If they try to spam there are moderators for fixing that.

Last year I did try to find forums like those to make a thread about this subject. But I couldn't find a single active forum with a forum currency which has relay money value. I really like the idea of an active forum currency but so far I don't see how it can work here. It seems some kinda serious incentive like option to buy domain names with currency like how it used to be at Namepros.com But even they couldn't maintain it and also I don't think Forum owner can do it for now or ever Im not sure.

Im not against your idea, I really do like it. Sadly It's just not doable.

This is quite useful for busy people like me.

There's a way to prevent the forum being a ghost town. Why not let people request for post exemption for a month while charging them? The request should have a valid reason included but without asking for too much information. (Hey, respect their privacy )

The cost could be around 200-300 then increasing them if ever they request it in the next 3 months. (You decide which is the most reasonable cost. (200-300 is reasonable for me.)

Don't think anyone is willing to pay for that given that earning points here is VERY, VERY, VERY easy.

Like I said, there is no interaction of the original website, people just like trading them with each other.

I agree with @Dudi suggestion but domains should be sponsored too, so admins don't use their own $$.
