This is common sense (or so I thought) but PLEASE don't download copyright materials to your VPS - and specifically not with torrents. The US Movies Industry has become expert at tracking torrents to user IPs and is completely set up to start court proceedings against you. We've just lost sponsorship of VPS 4 as a result of this.

I am aware through discussions in the Forum that a number of our members use Torrents to download materials. They are so used to doing this that they're not even thinking about how illegal the downloading of copyrighted materials is. If you want to take chances with downloading copyrighted materials, please take it with your computer in your own personal capacity. DO NOT use any of the Post4VPS VPSs to do this with. It is strictly forbidden.

VPS 4 was one of our premier VPSs and it's very sad for us to lose the sponsorship of the VPS. It's also particularly sad that this had to happen to Shadow Hosting as well. Our sincere apologies to @Manal.

1. Epic Games introduces on Fornite for iOS and Android a "direct" payment system that offer lower prices thanks to the no-Apple tax;
   
2. Apple gets angry because Epic Games dare to go against the rules set by Apple and kicks out Fornite from App Store;
   
3. Epic Games, that was ready for this response, started a campaign to stop the abuse performed by Apple and its monopoly;
   
4. Spotify that tried the same approch years ago without any success, steps in on Epic Games side;
   
5. Apple announce that if Epic Games doesn't remove the new payment system, Apple will terminate Epic Games dev-accounts and dev-tools (such as the support for Unreal Engine for iOS and Mac);
   
6. Epics games takes on court Apple, Microsoft sides with Epic Games because Apple threat regarding Unreal Engine support on iOs and Mac will damage every game developer, like them with Forza mobile game.
   
7. Between this little war, Apple forces a free app caled "Wordpress" to introduce microtransations to get 30% of taxes;
   
8. Apple steps back regarding the WordPress matter;
   
9. Regarding the Apple-Epic_Games courts... a judge announce that: Apple can kick out fornite from AppStore because the game goes against the rules of the store BUT Apple can't terminate the support of Unreal Engine on iOS and Mac;
   
10. Apple blocks a Facebook update that says Apple get 30% of the money from the "donation" system developed by Facebook to aid the e-commerce affected by covid.

i Want to fix my old computer and make it a gaming pc. not a strong one but good enough to run a few games. so this is the spec of my computer:


i know that the CPU is way too bad for gaming and not good. i have replaced the ram and replaced the hard drive with an ssd that i had on my house. now i want to replace the cpu with a new one.
my questions are:
which cpu will be great for games and will not cost a lot? (i was thinking about i5-7600)
will i have to replace the motherboard with the cpu because the new cpu wont fit?
where is the best place to buy instead of local stores?
my computer model is asus k53 computer.
P.S i know some of you thinking that i need also a GPU to play games but i already thought about that. i want to buy an external gpu slot and i have 1050 ti gpu to connect to the external gpu.

I already have created a post about Supporting Sponsors but I thought creating this topic as a suggestion because of recent developments at Post4VPS. My suggestion is to Make Google Review or Facebook Review a requirement for having a VPS here. Especially for those who unable to provide a proper link-back. But I think it should go for all VPS holders.

There are practical limitations and downsides of this link back rule. These links won't have any value unless it's from a site which regularly updated. Random links don't help sites anymore. So this kind of links won't help sponsor much anyway. It's a headache for VPS holders too if the person doesn't have a website. Also if you can't provide a link then the sponsor gets very little in return for what he gives us.

Personally I think Google Reviews or Facebook Reviews are the best solutions for this. We all use either of these services or both. So it's quite easy to do it. These ratings and reviews are very valuable for providers, So much more than a back-link. New providers will able to build-up real testimonials and reviews this way which would increase their reputation and development of the brand name.

This is not something hard for VPS holders either. All you have to do is use the server for a month or so then write a positive review at Google or Facebook or both. These product reviews would give our sponsors more value than anything we offer right now.

I know none of us to want to do extra work but I think sponsors deserve it. Also, this might help us to attract more sponsors too. After all, they would get genuine product reviews from real people who use their service.

So every gamer is probably aware of the new lineup that will be announced probably next month. The RTX 3000 series with rumors that a "90" version might be released as well.

So ofcourse when a product is near launch rumors start coming up regarding its specsheet and pictures start to float around on the internet, we already saw actual 3090 pictures but this time we get to see 3090 being compared to a 2080 and I must say, the 3090 is a monster!



As you can see, Its probably 1.5x the size of 2080, but look at the aggressive the cooling design is on the 3090! (There's also a fan on the other side of the card.) 
Its also being rumored that the new card lineup may require a new 12-pin socket instead of the usual 6-pin or 8-pin power sockets and 700W+ PSU requirement!

Now ofcourse we should take all of this with a huge grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed from Nvidia as of yet, however I think the rumors and leaks have been really exciting and I personally can't wait to see what Nvidia comes up with next month.

On the other side we have AMD who's also preparing their Big Navi cards also scheduled to release sometime next month or maybe near the Holiday season, Its also rumored to be go head to head with Nvidia's offerings but ofcourse AMD's rumors have been blown way more than they should be which then results in disappointment from the red team. (Radeon VII).
