The Server-Verleih Project offers since 2012 free vServer for people who need a development server, or simply just has no money at this time.
We already have over 150 satisfied customers from around the world on selfmanaged hostsystems in 5 data centers for example Accelerated or Interwerk.
We have a professional team consisting of 4 people, 3 from Germany and one from England.
We currently are working on a SV-Cloud which is to prevent the L3 / L4 / L7 DDoS attacks from and on our vServer .

you can use open DNS 's free DNS service, just look through here and go according to your OS

Google DNS(8.8.8.8) was not working as it is my default.
At last I phoned up my ISP and told him. He told me to set DNS as (10.10.0.1) and It worked !!!

well it's your choice which DNS you want to use, and google has 2 DNS

Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 4.4.4.4

i suggest using OpenDNS

Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondry: 208.67.220.220

it will protect you against many harmful websites(Common Phishing websites, malware, spywares etc), and unlock many useful website your ISP may have Blocked

THere is a possibility that his ISP blocks external DNS servers.

I'm a member of their forum. Also got a vps from Accelerated. I haven't had a problem so far or downtime. Their vps service has exceeded my expectations. Good stuff.

Mee also but then on interwerk. Good host and servers. Kindly staff. But has only 3 server and post4vps has more.

I also have a VPS from them. I got one from New-Colo I think. (Changed DCs before).
