if whaat you mean by "system" is more freedom of modifying your system it isnt really that true even though modding a pc is much safer than a smartphone . you can modify , install vcusrom , root , etc you name it on your android . ios used to have jailbreak but it all have been atched by apple sadly

But apple is very very safe system, it's reached to that you can't transfer any file through USB easily, you must download the iTunes to transfer which is getting the viruses & checking the file before transfering.
