Im thinking about using the old editor again. Looks like they have decided to remove the word count, or it's hidden somewhere which I haven't seen yet. Preview now take lot longer to load. Maybe options which used to be on toolbar's gone. I don't remember everything I'm missing right now but I can't say I love it or impressed by it.

I seem to have come across the word count at one point - not sure where. But yes, you're right, for someone who is in a big hurry, the classic editor works much faster. What I also find annoying are those popup tutorials that block my view of what is going on in the dashboard. Also takes extra time to get out of those as they're not in an easy removable position. Have to look for the little cross to nix them.

I spent most of today and part of last night working on a blog, and it was not with Gutenberg.
