..... I like Google Chrome that much as I use it on my pc and android. Can some one explain if there is any benefit by using the new chromium based edge browser?
Actually now a days open source seems better for me.

It is interesting you still like Google Chrome if you prefer open source projects.

But I understand many people confuse with Chromium and Chrome. In fact Chromium is quite different from Chrome which is under controlled by Google.

Sadly the Microsoft Edge is also not open sourced either.
