This doesn't even make sense? Nvidia makes video chips whereas Intel and AMD make Processing chips (Processors)...

IMO: I'm more a fan of Intel, since most Intel processors are more power-efficient than AMD chips, though they are a little more expensive.

What makes you think that Intel is more power efficient ? Any studies to back up ?

Intel CPUs aren't more powerful but they have much better thermal properties.
About three or four years ago I had a notebook with an AMD CPU and (Ati) Radeon video card.
It was always hot, although it was a new notebook, all the drivers were installed, and its fan worked fine.
There weren't any faults or errors, because I took it to the nearest service point and then they confirmed that it's ok, but it's hotter than an Intel because it's AMD. Then I sold and bought a same notebook but with an Intel CPU. And all problems gone, it is much cooler, and still the fan doesn't have much work, it's still working.
AMD is good only if you have a very good cooling system.
And they are really recommended for gaming because you can buy it at a much lower price.

Yup! Indeed, and AMD is good for gaming due to it's LOW PRICE than INTEL and it's good to use in DESKTOP because you can upgrade to a better cooling system.

I recommend getting Intel over AMD because Intel has been here for a very long time compared to AMD. It also earned a lot of rewards and is more reputable too.

I preferably use AMD for gaming and Intel for daily use.
yeah AMD Blush

When it comes to gaming, Intel on average will give you slightly more framerates while using less energy, but for hundreds of more dollars. Most of us don't care about conserving energy on a gaming desktop anyways, and the marginal difference in framerates does not justify the large difference in cost. This is why I go with AMD. You get more performance per dollar with AMD. The money saved with AMD can then be put towards a nice GPU.

My first desktop computer had an AMD Athlon processor. After that I had only Intel systems. In these parts it's hard to find AMD processors because of less demand. Everyone ask for Core Processors.

When it comes with core processors and Intel got that!, that is why intel processor used for graphics, multimedia because of it's high cores.

AMD can do almost everything Intel processors do. Intel has better tie ups though.

I havent had an AMD for a long time. I live in country where weather is alwayz +30c. So hearting thing can be a serious problem here. I havent see any computer shop advertising about AMD processors for a long time. Now they sell only Intel processors here.

Same here, AMD processors used to be very popular back in 2011 when my daddy bought me my first computer. Nowadays people don't even think about AMD processors much when it comes to daily tasks.
