It was worst PC core 2 due but i had to reinstall Windows for new PC (cousin's PC) twice. Which i hate the most it take too much time and most important we've to install everything even some websites password i don't remember i just keep them save so now i've to reset them.
I still have core 2 duo which is my cousin's PC but it's better then previous it's 3.00 GHz and DDR3 2GB ram. I'll upgrade ram soon. I always think whenever i can i'll buy only once which i never replace but situation was really bad i had to buy it from cousin but thankfully it's upgradeable.
Anyway past 2 days was my worst day i was freaking angry.
your password probably still exist in the hard drive of your broken pc why not plug it to your new pc , if the hard drive isnt the fault your data probably still fine
You should upgrade the ram because 2gb is too small even 4gb is small by today standard . If your old pc is using the same ddr3 maybe you can salvage it . Last time i use 2gb of ram i can only run a few chrome tab before it start slow down extremely . The cpu is good enough for just surfing the web
Also i rarely find broken cpu most of the time i see a broken computer is the ram , motherboard or hard drive sometime graphics card
And lastly for seeing other problem i see that it mostly caused by low quality psu . Low quality psu cannot filter unstable and dirty electricity correctly so if the electricity is unstable it probably can give incorrect voltage and probably fry some part . I reccomend getting a stabilizer if your place electricity is dirty to prevent this kind of problem
