I totally agree that COVID has made life kinda "expensive". Here at my place, price of every item has gone up. Especially fruits and vegetables have become almost twice the price a few months ago.
In fact, for the first time in the history of the country, thanks to corona virus, diesel has surpassed petrol in price.
Also, as @tryp4vps highlighted, already a lot of people have lost their jobs, and on top of that this price hike, livelihood and survival is becoming really difficult in times when price of commodities rise to such an extent which you couldn't have imagined previously.
