I think you are a little bit late for the game. At least for the BitCoins. There are other new coins that might have a chance in the future but you will have to mine taking that risk. You will need to do it with your home pc since this is not something allowed by normal server providers. There are special mining packages offers by some providers but those are not cheap. I did some research about the whole Crypto thing couple of years ago when BitCoins reached sky-high. Even then Mining was not something profitable unless you are an expert at it. I think I even made a thread about Crypto coins here.

@OldMeister I'm a little worried here, and hope the worry is unnecessary, but can you please confirm that you're not using your VPS 6 for bitcoin mining? Mining leads to CPU spikes and may lead to suspension. If you check BladeNode TOS the general understanding is that operations like bitcoin mining are not allowed.

do not worry deanhills. i carefully read BladeNode tos before i started to use the vps. no i actually have a few pc which has a great CPU and GPU that are being used for mining.
the BladeNode vps is used for game servers only. i used to play call of duty 4 modern warfare a few years ago and i had a great community there ( i wasnt the owner) it got closed since no one was willing to buy vps when the server is most of the time is dead. so i recreated the community using post4vps and bladenode help and made a lot of people get back to their old days... on call of duty 4, the server is having a great success. but alot of people left because of the ping the server has. (the host is in US and most of the people are from Europe.)
this is the only use of the vps. so you do not need to worry, i may be a forum spammer but im not a rule breaker Tongue

speaking about mining . is it profitable now? as i know the last time it is profitable is in 2017 when ethereum get expensive and gpu get scarce because lot of miners . and since then i never knew about profitable mining anymore . probably never exist except if there is something groundbreaking in crypto . also i see most crypto nowdays stay away from mining and most of them are erc20 token . i mean the new fresh cryptocurrency

In my country, this was previously illegal due to the high power consumption of miner devices.
But now it is allowed.
I suggest you extract other internet currencies. Because at the moment bitcoin is only released through graphics cards, not cpu.
But XMR or other online currencies can also be extracted with cpu.
And another argument is that mining with a personal computer is not profitable at all. (Don't do this because the power of your computer consumes more than your earnings)
Thanks Post4VPS

Thanks @OldMeister Looks as though you're a genuine bitcoin specialist then. Maybe you could create a tutorial for us for how to start mining bitcoin for the first time using PCs. I.e. the specs needed, and how you are doing it.

it is legal in india now. But I dont know anyone mining around here. one observation i want to share is i often see multi gpu slot mining motherboards and setups and gpu stacks getting sold on olx at very cheap rates. So i think that is no more profitable even with multigpu and stolen electricity ...lol ( india....remember !!) may be thats only way to be profitable. stealing from the electricity board. and thats why these people dont want to do it anymore.

i personally mine pi coin. have got almost 1000 coins.
Sincere Thanks to VirMach for my VPS9. Also many thanks to Shadow Hosting and cubedata for the experiences I had with their VPSs.

thanks for the tip @deanhills. i will look up to it a little bit more also find more valid information and then make a tutorial about how to get inside the bitcoin business. to be honest by the way i do not know if it fits to everyone since bitcoin is one of the biggest places with hackers on it, easy cash for whoever got a pc. so you better watch out guys if you getting into it!
Thank you Post4vps and BladeNode for vps 6!!!

Hey @OldMeister,

As all the others have already said, you aren't h getting anything really profitable, or even a no profit no loss situation by mining BitCoin and LiteCoin unless you've specific ASICs (which is highly unlikely).

However, that doesn't mean there's nothing for you to mine. Check this post - https://changelly.com/blog/top-10-most-p...s-to-mine/ - coins like Raven and XMR are really worth it. If you really have quality hardware for mining, you should go for it.

I'm personally very much into crypto currencies, and speaking from the same experience. Smile

Regards,
Sayan Bhattacharyya,

Heartiest thanks to Post4VPS and Virmach for my wonderful VPS 9!
