Also for the Redmi version. But my father's Mi A1 is still ok this time.

AMOLED displays used only in very expensive flasghip phones.
Midrange phones use IPS panel and the cheapest phones use only TN panel.
Yes, the Mi A1 use IPS, and my LeEco phone has IPS too. I like IPS mote than AMOLED, because it has better white colors, but AMOLED has better deep black colors. And for browsing the net you watch a lot of white.

I don't think phones need very expensive screens etc. many people rely on phones today, but I think it would be better if they used AMOLED on computers instead.

not really
1.AMOLED have screen door effect espescially on lower res one
2.AMOLED use non-square pixel
3.AMOLED does burn in
4.AMOLED is expensive

but there is some point where amoled is better
-Better black pixel
-better image quality overall
-and lower power consumption

I suppose the AMOLED price will get much lower as soon as more phones use it. And it will become the standard for future phones.

Uses AMOLED on computers instead? Hmm... I think most manufacturers are not putting much focus on this market because not many people still buy computers nowadays.

A few months ago Xiaomi released the successor the 4A. They call it 5A.
Nothing special, but it has a little better specs, larger screen, but the price is still cheap.
From Gearbest you can often buy it for about $100.
